VIOLENCE, REBELLION AND BEAUTY
Pedro is drawn to the ways violence is fetishized, commodified, and depicted as propaganda throughout history. Increasingly, he has come to see democracy as the counterforce to this ; its true antithesis. If violence is coercion, white noise, convolution, democracy is the absence of it; if propaganda distorts, art, in its purest, most iconic form, reveals. Pedro feels that art is the world's most powerful form of democracy, heroism. He sees freedom fighters as mythological heroes, and those who stand in the way as fearsome monsters.
